Dbus is running in the background.
afaik, sessions are started as shown below on linux atleast
exec -l $SHELL -c "$SSH_AGENT $DBUS_LAUNCH gnome-session"
Message such as ?
I would use GDM but GDM spews even more errors about XLIB and Xauth
when trying to run none gnome apps
