Re: various warnings question

Chris, it seems to me that something in Gnome is implemented not so accurate or there is conflict between operating system and Gnome. I've seen some similar messages in my FreeBSD 7.1 Release.

Also, Gnome started very slowly. I've tried editing file /usr/local/share/xsessions/gnome.desktop (see param --warn-delay --purge-delay) to speed up loading. Now it starts quickly.
But some error messages still arise.

Subject: various warnings question

Mandriva 2009(Free), Gnome 2.24. I've been seeing the below pulseaudio
error since an automatic Mandriva upgrade Wednesday night:

pulseaudio[20654]: protocol-esound.c: recieved unimplemented request #22

So, went to system config and unchecked pulseaudio and logged out and
back in. After logging in again I noticed the following problems:

Feb 14 07:42:30 localhost gnome-session[20576]: WARNING: Unable to query

Though after logging back in again sound was gone so I had to
re-activate pulseaudio. That issue though is probably for another
thread.

Any advice would be appreciated. I like Gnome as compared to KDE its
using much less memory and seems to run a lot faster.

Chris
