[kde-linux] kde-3.5 initial login fails

Hello,
i have kde-3.5.0 compiled from source on a debian based linuxbox
(only arts-1.5.0, kdelibs-3.5.0 and kdebase-3.5.0)
Now when i try to login, the background gets dark (black?) and
the kde-splash screen appears. It sets the icons blinking from left
to right "initializing system services", then "initializing
peripherals" - and then after some seconds the xdm reappears :(
This looks exactly like the behaviour under kde-3.3.2 (which i'm running
now) when the "DCOP" somehow was out of sync between homedir and /tmp,
but this time this is with a newly set up UID with no files
being left from from (something) in /tmp.
The xdm-errors file has 867 lines ending with
...
kdecore (KAccel): The KLibLoader contains the library kded_medianotifier
(0x80f4920)
DCOP: unregister 'kded'
KWrited - Listening on Device /dev/ttyp1
DCOPServer : slotShutdown() -> waiting for clients to disconnect.
DCOPServer : slotShutdown() -> waiting for clients to disconnect.
DCOPServer : slotExit() -> exit.
ICE default IO error handler doing an exit(), pid = 2955, errno = 0
startkde: Running shutdown scripts...
startkde: Done.
Console: fatal IO error 32 (Broken pipe) or KillClient on X server ":0.0"
Nevertheless i don't get an idea where to look for my problem...
Any helpful hints?
Thanx,
Bernt Christandl
