Hello,
after Dale (Dale <dalek@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>) gave the hint to look
a bit deeper into the list-archives i've found, that my problem
was solved by others already:
The reason for the reappearing xdm is that the normal user
cannot create /tmp/.ICE-unix like this:
drwxrwxrwt 2 root root 4096 Jan 30 07:07 .ICE-unix
But after a first root-KDE-login (and logout)
the "normal" user has no login problems any longer
as (s)he could create (its) files in that directory by then...
