Does anybody knows why the future of krdc is unclear?? and why is it
unmaintained??

It's probably unmaintained for the usual reason that the maintainer no
longer had time to work on it. This makes the future unclear, since there
could be a clean-up of KDE modules, when unmaintained apps will be moved
out of the "official" modules.
