I didn't see a list specifically to Konqueror (except for the embeded
version) so I'm hoping someone here can help me or point me in the
right direction. With KDE 3.5 I seem to have lost the ability to have
folders remember their view settings. If I set a folder to icon view
then browse to a subfolder under it then come back up the folder that
was in icon view reverts back to list or whatever view I was in
prior. Seems to happen in every folder. If I have a folder with
music and try to view in the info view the next time I go there i
have to switch back to info view again..
See the menu option:
Settings -> Save View Changes per Folder
Ok, I see that on the menu but its grey'ed out.
I did hunt around through all the .directory files on my system and copied parts of each to make the folders do what I wanted to manually.
Also can I modify views? Could I add or remove or rearrange colums
in the detaild list view for example and have that apply to all?
Is it possible to add more colums to the info list view. The info
list view displays ID3 tags of mp3's, EXIF data of pictures, but just
the number of lines/words/etc for text files. Can I add a colum to
display other metadata tags such as author or keywords from Open
Office or Koffice documents?
I don't think so.
Ok, feature request filing time for that one. I did find this http://developer.kde.org/documentation/tutorials/kfile-plugin/t1.html which talks about metadata support, but I don't know if that changes the colums or just the properties dialog.
