Hi, why does Konqueror have to count through (and seemingly look at)
every file in a directory, before moving, copying or deleting it?
Because it wants to show a progress information.
I just deleted a folder containing about 260MB of mixed files - but
before Konqueror deleted them, it laboriously counted through every
single file in the directory. This took nearly 6 minutes! (On a 3.2 GHZ
Machine with 1GB of RAM, that is very long for such a relatively small
folder).
This is really a long time. How much files did you have in there?
Cheers,
Kevin
