Hi all
Recently, I found that my kde 3.5 is not listening on
port 6000 for my kde session at :0. I'm sure that has
been the case for some time and I just haven't been
noticing.
I was wondering if it's a simple configuration change
I can make to enable that port again. I need that to
run X applications using ssh.
You don't want to run your X against tcp/ip port 6000. It's a huge security
hole; X servers stopped doing that a long time ago and now default to using
unix domain sockets.
To run X apps over ssh, use ssh -X (man ssh)
