Not possible if KDE follows the freedesktop.org standard. I can't
remember seeing an option not to save generated thumbnails.
Where is your problem? Are you using URI where modification time
comparison does not work?
Have yu tried to make it impossible to make entries to that
folder? I guess there might be problems ahead if you follow that
route.
