[kde-linux] screensaver hassle

i configured an OpenGL based screensaver (Flurry) in kde control
center which works just fine. but after some time running (about 10
minutes), the blank screen saver kicks in.
- i disabled 'run blank screen saver when running on batteries'
- i disabled DPMS
does anyone know some other hints what could cause the blank
screensaver to start?
