Hello!
In konqueror 3.1 and 3.3 i could enter file:/home/*.txt to display
only text files in my home directory. Since konqueror 3.4 this is not
possible anymore. is this now a plugin which needs to be enabled?
Thank you, Nina

Hello, Nina
I had not heard of that feature before, so I tried it to see if it
works over here. I typed "/home/steve/*.ods" in the "Location:" bar
and hit "Enter". Here at least it seems to do exactly what is no longer
working for you: only the *.ods files that were in the directory were
displayed. All of the Directories were still displayed, but the only
files that were displayed were ones that matched *.ods.

This is on KDE Branch 3.5, updated from source about two days ago.

KDE from the 3.5 Branch also has the following feature (it's been
around for quite a while): "Tools | View Filter" If you click on that,
it will show a list of all the file types that are contained in the
current directory. So I just click on the file type for *.ods files,
and EVERYTHING else dissappears from view. Directories included :)

In conclusion, I don't know why you have lost the ability to do what
you wanted, but I do know that it can be done two different ways in the
most current stable version of KDE.
