[kde] lost mail

I have recently had to reinstal my OS on my computer and I have insalled KMAIL
1.9.7 (using KDE 3.5.6), I then tried to import all my mail from the previous
installation. Now when I oper newly arrived mails there is no problem, but
when I try to consult an old mail I see the Sender and subject in the preview
window but when I click on it it changes to Sender Unknown and Subject is No
Subject.
Is there any way arround this?
