Are there any errors in the ~/.xsession-errors file?
I also tried copying .kde folder from my other account and that did the
same ( I changes the username to my username in some of the files.. ) ..
You could try to use tar to create and then restore an archive of the other
machine's .kde directory. Usually better than copying since it handles file
access permissions better.
