the laptop and everything worked again. One problem I noticed though is if I
manually edit the network through K>systemsettings>networksettings the
interfaces file changes and then the wireless disappears.
here is my interfaces file:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
address 127.0.0.1
netmask 255.0.0.0
auto eth0
#iface eth0 inet dhcp
auto eth1
#iface eth1 inet dhcp
auto eth2
#iface eth2 inet dhcp
auto ath0
