oh, I DID do what you suggested. When THAT didn't work is when I asked for

I don't use lpstat, so I could be misunderstanding, but it seems to me that
the command above tells you that the job is being sent, but it doesn't tell
you whether the printer is accepting input from the queue.  I'm betting it
wasn't.

actually, the FULL output does, I just didn't include it all. Here is the FULL
output ( now, working..). when it FAILED there was an error under the R380,
about a raster.. something..
