[kde] Invisible systray icons

My Fedora 10 netbook is where I try more 'bleeding edge' than I would on other
systems. I installed KOffice2, beta 6 - and I don't know whether that is
related or mere coincidence. Anyway, I suffered a crash in KWord, and didn't
worry about it. The next time I logged in, however, I found that several
systray icons are invisible. They are there - hovering brings up the tooltips
- but I can't see them.

I tried quitting plasma, renaming plasma-appetsrc and re-starting plasma, with
no improvement at all. Can anyone tell me how to make the icons visible
again?
