Ah - I was looking at the Session Manager startup and shutdown screen. No
wonder I didn't find it :-) Looking in Login screen for shutdown options
is about as logical as Microsoft's telling you to use Start when you want
to shutdown :-)
Thanks. Both the mis-behaving netbook and the behaving laptop have
/sbin/poweroff as the command. I'll try changing the netbook's setting to
/sbin/shutdown -hP (after I've looked at the man page to see what -hP
sets).
have to do a command-line shutdown, but I didn't know -P
