Did you even try ATI's website? They have proprietary linux drivers on
there.
According to http://www.xfree86.org/~dawes/4.3.0/radeon.4.html
the 9000, 9100, 9500 and 9700 seem to be supported. One of those might
work.
Also try upgrading to rh9, xfree 4.3 is included and is newer than what
rh8 has.
