    Hi all!
I have instlled VMWare on my Linux 8 server. I have created a virtual
machine for XP. I have no problem getting to the internet from the virtual
machine, but now I can't get to the internet from my Linux server. I don't
know if these two are related, but I could get to the internet early,
yesterday, before I installed the XP VM.
    Any suggestions?

    Also ...
I have a Linksys router that I use to assign my IP Addresses. Everything is
working okay, with one small exception. Since I am not using a static IP, I
want to give my Linux server a hostname in the DHCP table. I have done this
in my Ethernet Device under DHCP setttings. I fully expected that, when I
obtained the DHCP client list from Linksys, the hostname would be there.
The assigned IP for the server is there, but the Client Hostname is blank.
All of my Windows clients, including the XP VM, have the hostname resolved.
Anyone out there know what could be causing this?

    Sincerely,

    David Langschied
