I keep getting this error and I have tried many things to fix it but
    nothing seems to work.

    Red Hat 9 Gnome
    evolution-1.4.3-0.ximian.6.1
    mozilla-1.2.1-26
    mozilla-1.4-12 <- I tried this from rawhide too... :-(

    I keep getting:

"mailto is not a registered protocol" in mozilla whenever I try to click
    on a mailto link.

    Things I have already tried:

    1. Add mailto-show=evolution "%s" to ~/.gnome/Gnome (didn't work)

    2. Menu->Preferences->File types and programs then add mailto to the
    Internet Services: /usr/bin/evolution "%s" (didn't work)

    3. In Mozilla Edit->Preferences->Helper Applications add
    application/x-mailto ??? /usr/bin/evolution "%s" (didn't work)

    4. rm -rf .gconf* (didn't work)

    Is my system possessed? ahhhhhh...
