    Dear Friends:

I have a script for automatic startup of Oracle databases on two Red Hat
    Linux Server.

I have the startup file in /etc/init.d and links in /etc/rc5.d .

The script works fine on one of the two servers. On the second one, it
tries to start the Oracle Listener multiple times. Oracle Listener is a
demon process that receives requests for connections over TCP/IP .

I was worried about error in the startup script. So I copied the file
from the server where it was running fine. Still I observe the same
    behavior.

    Any idea?

    Thank you in advance.

    Regards.
