    I believe you want transparent proxy services. The following doc outlines
    the process, as well as the background necessary to understand the process.
    It really is quite easy, so don't get overwhelmed by the document.

    Point the new machines to the squid box as their gateway, and point the
    squid box to the router as its gateway. Understand that all traffic will
    flow through the squid box, but that only http (port 80) traffic will be
    proxied.

    ps. All of the kernel settings in RH9 are already done, you just have to
    worry about the change in gateway in your DHCP scope, iptables, squid.conf,
    and the proc IP-forwarding (echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward).
