    You need to specify the correct driver in Linux too! Take a look at

    http://www.linuxprinting.org/printer_list.cgi

    and search your printer in the database.

    It will also provide you with the recommended drivers and some suggestions
    for best performance. Install your new driver (CUPS one) and reinstall
    the whole printer from http://localhost:631 and taking note of your new
    driver which should appear from the list after installation.
