    The following is from the system log after I attempted to work in GIMP on a picture. It corresponds to a shut down of the graphic interface and taking me back to the user log in screen. Is there a fix for this problem, or what further information do you need to ascertain the trouble. The failure happened at approx 12:13pm in the system log.
    As an additional note this failure happens in most of the graphics intensive software apps as well as some of the screen savers on a pretty regular basis.
