    In Solaris, the command:

    /usr/sbin/prtvtoc /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s2 | /usr/sbin/fmthard -n mirror -s -
    /dev/rdsk/c3t3d0s2

would output the partition information from one disk and use that info to
    partition the 2nd disk.

Is there command in Linux that will perform the same as the Solaris command
    above? I'm using RH8.

I'm planning on then mounting the individual partitions and copying over
data. I know I could use dd and be done with it. However I've heard that
dd isn't very reliable for cloning disks.

    Thanks,

    Christian
