I had probably the same thing here for a while. Screen is blank, keyboard
and mouse gone. You can go in via telnet but console is dead? Changing
runlevel does not seem to fix the problem. I think it is one of the
screensavers on my box. I have the screensaver running with random and have
now taken out many of the options. Did not have any "crashes" since a
couple of weeks. Before that I had about one every two or three days. If
You are running the screensaver in random mode I would suggest use only one
(and if it crashes again take another) or do not use a screensaver.
I wasn't able to find anything in the logs on this.
