I checked the Linksys web page for a tech support number, and it said
24/7 tech support, so I called. I got a sweet sounding lady with a
thick Chineese accent. She was obviously trying to fit me into one
of her pre-scripted categories, as she insisted on determining whether
I was using the hub for "file sharing" or "connecting to the
internet", and she also wanted to know the name of my ISP! I asked to
speak with someone a bit more technical. She asked me to please hold.

After 15 minutes of hold (God bless speaker phones!) she comes back
and asks a few more questions trying to show me how "network
congestion" is causing the packet loss. Good Grief! My kingdom for
    an engineer!

I think Linksys headquarters is going to receive a call from me
    tomorow morning.
