If you buy the RHES online, you should have received an email
giving you your account number and (software) item number.
If you then log on to RHN and put these details in, as well
as the machine details, then you should be able to apply up2date
    on the machine you registered.

That's how I got mine to work.

In practice, I believe there is nothing to stop anyone loading
RHES on any PC without buying RHES. I don't know if it is
legal to do so. But up2date will not work until this machine
is registered in the RHN's database.

    Hi ,

But when you bought ES 1 year rhn update must be free ?!

Easy ISOs: OS, Source, and Documentation ISO Images

Red Hat Network Update Module Service 1-year

Also available on most platforms: Red Hat Network Management Module Service
    1-year for an additional cost

Updates to RH Enterprise Server is a chargeable service.
Once you have bought the service, you need to log on to the RHN network, add
in your RHN subscription details and then assign the machine into the
    subscription channel.

Once that is done, up2date will work.
