Accessing a Mass storage device

    How can I achieve this? I have no problems in windows xp, but in the linux gui I cannot seem to figure out how to access the drive. I have been able to view it on the hardware viewer but that is all.

    I am a very novice linux user and if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

    also I have tried to mount via system tools but I cannot even see the disk on the list of mountable media.
