Tried to install java 5 on mozilla-1.7.3?

    Has anybody tried to install java 5 on mozilla-1.7.3?
    I made a symlink to the libjavaplugin_oji.so with no luck.
    This plugin is located in n7-gcc29 dir and I was wonder if it was compiled with gcc-2.9.6 or gcc296 in rh9. I run fc2.
    Anyway nothing happens either in mozilla or opera.
    Any idea?
