upgrading python/redhat

    hi...

    i have rh8 and i'm trying to upgrade python from python2.2 to python2.3.4.
    rpm is stating that a number of rh components need python2.2.

    if i simply slam python2.3.4 will i have problems/issues...

    also, is there some way i can upgrade an rh8 to fedora...
