audit service failed

    Hi,
    I upgarded a RHEL 3 box to RHEL 4. During the boot sequence I got now a
    message that the audit service failed, because the kernel does not
    support it. How important is this service? Would you recommend to
    recompile the kernel and add support or just disable the service?
