    Hello all,

I am running RHEL3 and have an adaptec scsi card that needs the aic7xxx
    driver.

I had kudzu configure it and in modules.conf there's a line saying:
    "alias scsi_hostadapter2 aic7xxx".

However the driver doesn't get loaded, and I cannot access a tapedrive
that is hooked up to /dev/st0

When I do an "insmod aic7xxx" the driver apparently does get loaded and
    I can access the tapedrive.

Why doesn't the driver get loaded at bootup ?
    (I am running : "Linux host.depauw.edu 2.4.21-32.0.1.EL #1 SMP Tue May
    17 17:52:26 EDT 2005 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux")

    thanks,

    Ron
