    Hi,

I am trying to use 'ipmitool' over LAN.

    I use following command:

    [root@blade03 iris]# ipmitool -I lan -H 172.24.4.22 chassis status

    I am getting following error:

Error: Unable to establish LAN session

    Error: sending Chassis Status command

    Here is the configuration:

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ----------------------------------------------------------

Blade Server #1 IP address: 172.24.4.16

Blade Server #1 BSMP( or BMC) IP address is: 172.24.4.22

Blade Server #3 IP address: 172.24.4.18

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ----------------------------------------------------------

    On Blade#1 -->

    [root@localhost iris]# ipmitool channel info 1

    Channel 0x1 info:

Channel Medium Type : 802.3 LAN

      Channel Protocol Type : IPMB-1.0

      Session Support : session-based

      Active Session Count : 0

      Protocol Vendor ID : 7154

      Volatile(active) Settings

        Alerting : enabled

        Per-message Auth : enabled

        User Level Auth : enabled

        Access Mode : always available

      Non-Volatile Settings

        Alerting : enabled

        Per-message Auth : enabled

        User Level Auth : enabled

        Access Mode : always available

    What is going wrong?

Could you help me to sort make it work?

    Regards,

    Sachin Rane
