rpm -q glibc
glibc-2.3.2-95.37
Is there a way I can compile my programs using the older glibc 2.2.2-10
libraries?
Dunno.
Is it possible/relalistic to expect that I could temporarily
'downgrade' the glibc libraries so I can compile these programs, and
then re-install the glibc-2.3.2-95.37 libraries.
Not a chance. You wouldn't get very far and applications would crash
all over the place before you had a chance to finish even the compile
(both rpm and gcc rely on glibc).
