Thanks for reply Nick.
I have just done as you suggested but the e-mail did not come
through and
in the /var/log/maillog i have the text below. It looks like
it is being
stopped by localhost. Do you know what i need to change to
get it to go
through.
Apr 21 13:34:58 sendmail[14026]: k3LCYwWS014026:
to=andrew.bridgeman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, ctladdr=root (0/0),
delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=relay, pri=31778,
relay=[127.0.0.1] [127.0.0.1],
dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection refused by [127.0.0.1]
Sendmail has not been configured..check sendmail.mc
Add dnl to the line that has the loopback,
Then run m4 to generate a sendmail.cf
The instuctions should be in sendmail.mc
You either would be relaying to your Isp or resolving the address via
your DNS
Please read sendmail.mc.. Also check www.sendmail.org/m4/readme.html
Best regards
