strange problem - server hangs at boot Runlevel 3 - RHEL4 - reinstalled

Hi,
I couldn't fix the problem or find out, what goes wrong...
As the server is a simple "NAS-Box", I installed RHEL4 from scratch and copied back the config. This took me 30 minutes of time and the box is back online :-)
Thanks anyway for any tips and ideas!
