Re: interesting Proplem using Linux as a Router

Hi,

Did you configure your name server in /etc/resolv.conf? You may want to
verify that first. Then check that you can do a dig by connecting to that
name server. If you can't, it is probable that you block DNS lookup with
your iptables.

Hi all,
I ahave configure linux to act as a router. I have
set up the iptables and forwarding and the DHCP
server. when I ping an a public IP address such as
68.x.x.x for yahoo, I am able to ping. However, when
I ping a domain name such as www.yahoo.com, I cannot
ping. How can I have the IP address to resolve to a
domain name.
