Reference in xmlcontent

Hello, list.

We need to create a special xml content structure wich must contain a field
referencing another xmlcontent. For example, a new that contain a reference
to a certain article. This field must be a reference to an exisitng article,
not a nested xmlcontent.
Is it possible with xmlcontent?
