Seamonkey pops up search sidebar automatically. How to disable?

On RHEL 3, seamonkey has replaced mozilla as the web browser, but its
still the same codebase - looks like just a name change.
Since the switch however, anytime I do a search on google, the sidebar
in seamonkey automatically pops up. This wasn't occuring before. Is
there any way to disable this? Its really quite annoying.
