Gnu tar dosn't honour --one-file-system option.

While backing up a FC6 system Gnu tar fails to honour
the --one-file-system option with respect to cifs
shares mounted from a MS server.
There is no problem with other file systems such as for example
/boot and /sys.
A partial work around is to use --exclude mountpoint for each
cifs mount point but this depends on knowing all the cifs mount
points in use.
Does anone else see this problem?
Is there a real fix?
Any assistance appreciated:
Malcolm Kay
