Here is what's in /etc/pam.d/samba
]# cat /etc/pam.d/samba
#%PAM-1.0
auth required pam_nologin.so
auth required pam_stack.so service=system-auth
account required pam_stack.so service=system-auth
session required pam_stack.so service=system-auth
password required pam_stack.so service=system-auth
No, I didn't copy this file from another box, I believe that it installed with the samba rpm's from redhat distribution.
# rpm -qf /etc/pam.d/samba
samba-3.0.23c-2.el5.2.0.2

Subject: Re: question on log entries
I have a redhat ES 5 box running samba using ldap for authentication (configured using authconfig). Everything is working great, however for some reason the following log entry is logged. The log entry is filling up the logwatch report. Is there a way to identify which module is at fault here and disable logging just for it? I don't want to disable samba logging unless it is really necessary. Thanks.
Deprecated pam_stack module called from service "samba"
What is in /etc/pam.d/samba ??
By any chance did you copy this file from an older system?
