Check out /etc/logrotate.d/ - There is an httpd log rotation file there.
You can learn more via "man logrotate".

Ok, I found the documentation. However, there's one thing that it simply
does not mention: is there any way to control *when* the logs are rotated,
or is that simply x seconds after apache is started?
If so, I guess it's time for me to do a perl replacement for that....
