No space left on device


Hello,
I have the following configuration of a Linux machine.

When I try to creste a file on / file system, I get the following error.
# touch a
No space left on device

Any idea why I get this message? I removed an existing SW(RPM file)
and want to install the latest version of the same SW without success.
Then I tried the command "touch a" without success.
I looked in /var/log and removed some old log files(not big one)
Still no success.
