I am trying to get my mailman config on a Fedora 7 box working after
migrating the lists from my old Ubuntu server. Basically I installed
the
mailman rpm and then copied my archives over. The listinfo page
shows
my lists, but when I click on the link for a particular list, I get
a
404 error. The exact error is:
<snip>
If I cd to these locations, the directories are there. I am
wondering
whether I put stuff in the right places when I copied it from my old
system.
<snip>
What are the permissions and esp. ownership of /usr/lib/mailman? It
should be owned
by whoever apache runs as (apache? nobody?)

Somehow this discussion went off-list. With Mark's help, I have most
of it fixed I think. It was ownership of files. I still have one or two
problems though. I get what I should get from http://www.thepenguin.
org/mailman/admin/homegroup, but when I try to login, I get the
following error:

Bug in Mailman version 2.1.9

We're sorry, we hit a bug!

Please inform the webmaster for this site of this problem. Printing of
traceback and other system information has been explicitly inhibited,
but the webmaster can find this information in the Mailman error logs.

In the logs, I see:

[Tue Nov 27 11:01:37 2007] [error] [client 192.168.1.48] script not
found or unable to stat: /usr/lib/mailman/cgi-bin/mailman

/mailman/admin/homegroup

As these entries indicate, there is no /var/www/html/images/mailman.
Is this supposed to be a file or directory? I see a
/var/www/html/images/mailman.jpg.
