Yes Paul, this is why you need to put the nochroot option...look the
example:
%post --nochroot cp /etc/resolv.conf /mnt/sysimage/etc/resolv.conf
I think the resolv.conf is on the cd image.

You are correct. The %post is still a valid feature. But read the "Note"
before it...
"Note
The post-install script is run in a chroot environment; therefore,
performing tasks such as copying scripts or RPMs from the installation
media do not work. "

Sorry Paul if i didn't understand your question, but the option %posthttp://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/RHEL-5-manual/en-US/RHEL510/Installation_Guide/s1-kickstart2-postinstallconfig.html
--nochroot is still available

I am trying to create a custom ISO using RHEL 5.
In RHEL 4 it was possible to mount the cdrom in the kickstart file
file, install (%post --nochroot) and copy over files to the root homedir.
Apparently that feature is no longer available according to the RHEL 5
Installation Guide. Are there any suggestions on how to get a tar
ks.cfgbackground images and a script loaded onto a system using either
or some other means automatically? (i.e. no user interaction)
Thanks,
Paul W.
