Re: error when install binutils

You might want to try updating the box first. If it's older than redhat 5, up2date-nox -u ; if it's redhat 5, yum update. Then try to install binutils, but instead use up2date or yum to pull down and install the version of binutils that won't collide with the other packages on your box.
