(Excuse me for this non-Redhat question.)
Does anybody know a mailing list or web forum dedicated to non-kernel Linux system progamming?
There used to be a newsgroup
comp.os.linux.development.system
which can be accessed from web interfaces such as
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.os.linux.development.system/topics
It's meant for discussion of system programming on Linux, but different from lkml (Linux Kernel Mailing List), it's mostly programming in user space. Nowadays, like most of the Usenet, that newsgroup is infested with Spams, and system programmers have left the group.

it's been ages since I've followed any usenet groups, but I used to read
comp.unix.programming (or was it comp.os.unix.programming) and also one
on threads programming. they were relatively free of spam, at that time
but I don't know their current status.
