non whitelist api in Redhat 6.x

Hi Gurus,

I have heard that few apis might be removed from Redhat white list
of apis in 6.x. This includes kill_pid, send_sig_info, etc.
Is any one aware why this is being done. Do we have better
alternatives to these apis (kill_proc and send_signal or something
else)?
