    That's personally what I would do. <YMMV> I tried it both ways (2
    NICs) but in my case I didn't want to always have the 'main' machine
    running. So I bought a LinkSys router and found it had a lot of
    advantages:

    1) Setup was extremely easy. (web interface)
    2) It firewall capability was excellent.
    3) Forwarding and incoming port to a machine behind the router was easy.
    4) Setting up networking on all machines was easy.

    For a price of about twice what a NIC costs, you can go with the router.
